Meet the Athletic Director

Scott Zoscin

Meet Weatherly Area's Athletic Director, Scott Zoscin.

I am a 1990 graduate of West Hazleton High School where I played football and baseball for the Wildcats. I went on to receive my Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Bloomsburg University in 1994. I began my teaching and coaching career in the Baltimore County School System in 1998. I coached football, basketball, and baseball in Maryland at the high school level. In 2004, I received my Master of Arts degree in Leadership in Teaching from Notre Dame of Maryland University. I moved back to the area in 2005 and began teaching in the Weatherly Area School District as a special educator. In 2007, I began my tenure as the Athletic Director of the Weatherly Area School District. I have coached with the Weatherly Little League, Weatherly Youth Basketball, and at the high school level with girls’ basketball. I was fortunate enough to be part of two District XI Class A championships as an assistant coach. My own children were fortunate enough to attend Weatherly, and I was able to watch them have great success in multiple sports with their teams and as individuals.

My educational philosophy is to create as many opportunities for success as possible for the student-athletes in the Weatherly Area School District. I believe that our student-athletes can accomplish great things and perform at their highest level when student, family, school, and community are all working together towards common goals. As an athletic director, my philosophy is to help create a culture that empowers coaches to nurture student-athletes in becoming successful and contributing members of society.

I reside in Weatherly with my wife, Kelly. We have four children (David, Dylan, Emily, and Scotty) and three grandchildren (John, Leah, and Bella).
