Junior Leadership Graduation

On Sunday March 20th, 2011, five Weatherly graduated from the Hazleton Junior Leadership program. Junior Leadership is a community program that allows high school students to develop traits that will aid them in becoming better adults and leaders.

Over the period of seven months (August to February, excluding December) the students met with fellow high school students from surrounding schools, including; MMI, Hazleton, and Immanuel Christian. This year’s class had close to thirty students participating. The students met with well known successful adults from the area and learned traits that helped them in becoming better leaders. The students also were part of student committee projects that helped raise money for the Hazleton Animal shelter and hosted a Christmas party for younger kids. At the conclusion of the program on Sunday, the students left with a profound sense of confidence, knowing that the skills they learned will help them become successful future adults and take on challenges that are yet to come.

This year’s graduates from Weatherly High School are as followed….
From Left to Right: Jackie Blew, Tracy Galada, Matthew Caccese, Karlee Ursta, and Alicia Panzarella
