Read Across America

Read Across America

Our school annually celebrates Read Across America month (march). On March 2nd, also Dr. Seuss' Birthday, we held festivities for the Elementary school students. Activities included The Cat in the Hat (Mayor Connors) visiting classes himself with his two trusty side kicks, Thing 1 and Thing 2. Students were encouraged to wear "Cat in the Hat" hats, dress to resemble their favorite characters, or simply wear red. Books were read to classes and the "holiday" was even celebrated during lunches with birthday cake. Click here to view all images.

Wishing Weatherwood a Merry Christmas

Continuing an annual tradition of sharing during this Holiday season, the teachers, staff, and the Interact Club at Weatherly Area School District brought in gifts for the residents of Weatherwood Retirement Home.  In addition, 5th grade students typed letters to the residents wishing them a Merry Christmas.  Pictured with some of the letters are: (L to R) Kyle Dice, Megan Peifer, and Nick Berger.  Pictured with some of the gifts are: Suzanne Reigle, Bryan Benedict (Interact Club President), and Katherine ray.
