Behavioral Health Associates Anti-Bullying Initiative

"In and Beyond the Schoolyard-Addressing Bullying as a Community Issue"

Bulling with A Special Presentation in Weatherly

"In and Beyond the Schoolyard-Addressing Bullying as a Community Issue" will be presented Monday, November 14 starting at 6 p.m. in the Weatherly Middle School Cafeteria. Open to the public.

Panel of Experts includes:

  • Brian Markovchick - Weatherly Police Chief
  • Mike Bogart - Weatherly Police Officer
  • Tom McLaughlin - Weatherly School District Superintendent
  • Sandra Slavick - Elem/Middle School Principal
  • Rebekah McFadden - Weatherly School Nurse
  • Kimmy Mulik - Carbon County Deputy Cheif Juvenile Probation Officer
  • Michele Titus - Director of Education of Behavioral Health associates
  • Dr. Helene Katz - Licensed staff Psychologist w/Behavioral Health Associates and key organizer of BHS's county-wide anti-bullying initiative

 

The Panelists will identify warning signs that indicate your child may be a victim of bullying. They will discuss how to access help from your child's school as well as what to do if your child is being bullied in the community.

 

Donnell Stump, Weatherly Area School District PTA President, and Dr. Helene Katz encourage all parents, teacher. caregivers, skilled workers and professionals who work with school age children to attend. There will also be a short question and answer session for attendees.
