Welcome to the Weatherly Area School District website. Our site will be updated frequently and it will showcase the efforts of our students and staff.
I am honored to have been named Superintendent of Schools. I have worked in the district as a K-12 Assistant Principal, Supervisor of Special Services, and also as High School Principal. I am proud of the many achievements of our students, faculty, and staff.
Weatherly Area school District is located in Carbon County in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Our district covers approximately 100 square miles and serves approximately 675 students. Our campus consists of a K-8 building, a 9-12 High School, and numerous athletic fields. Our buildings and campus are attractive and well maintained thanks to the hard work of our maintenance staff. We also receive tremendous support from the Weatherly PTA, Booster Clubs, and the Weatherly High School Alumni Association. Weatherly Area has a proud history of excellence in academics. Since the inception of Pennsylvania System of School Assessments (PSSA) in 2002, our district has attained Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) every year. Our district has also received the Title I Academic Achievement Award, the Classrooms for the Future grant, and we offer our seniors an opportunity to earn college credits through our Dual Enrollment program. Our buildings are equipped with the latest educational technologies. These are just a few of our many accomplishments and they have been achieved due to the hard work and dedication of our administration, faculty, staff, students, parents, school board, and school community.
We have made some administrative changes for the 2016-2017 school year. The changes include:
